A Guide to Cornwall's Beaches
With over 250 miles of coastline, Cornwall has more than 150 beaches to choose from. Many of these are wide sandy coves and some secluded bays. Some of the beaches are dog friendly and most are staffed by lifeguards throughout the summer months. Some of the best beaches in Cornwall are in our opinion Gwithian Beach a great choice for Surfing and Kite Surfing. Porthkidney Beach is dog friendly and there is the chance of seeing dolphins from the shore. Watergate Bay is really busy in summer but has one of the best surf schools. Daymer beach and Kynance Cove are a good ones for families.
Cornwall is a favourite location for fantastic family beach holidays, waterside holiday homes and countryside pet friendly vacation cottages with open fires where dogs are welcome.
